Mapping the Sacred/Secular Intersection

This semester is really getting away from me in terms of the blogging. I'm working on carving out more time to get back into the routine.

My Religion thru Music capstone course and I are working our way through the literature on music and religion. Today, we discussed Chang and Lim's "Renegotiating the Sacred-Secular Binary." It's a great article. I made the following figure to help me make sense of their theoretical contribution:



All of the action takes place in that intersection of the sacred and the secular.
